DEcomp is a 3D construction environment developed from the ground up to address certain geometric design principles not covered by other commercial software packages. The DEcomp Visual Toolkit provides a variety of geometric manipulators and automation systems, which are instrumental to the production of Digitalis and Digitalis Prologue. Digitalis and its preceding short, Digitalis Prologue, present a novel geometric approach to narrative cinema. The films use a hybrid of live-action and computer-generated imagery, which is created using the DEcomp 3D environment. Digitalis Prologue is now in production. Further details about these projects will be released when the prologue is completed.
